1. Be active in your neighbourhood, know more people by participate the community events.

 

2. Take chances to tell people that you are a real estate agent.  For example, when giving tips in a restaurant, you may also leave your business card with the tips (of course, the amount should be adequate).

 

3. Pick a farm area to solicit for listings.  It does not have to me in the same neighbourhood as your residency.  An area that is close to your brokerage in a way that people are familiar with your company's name will be better.

 

4. You may also pick a type of property to be specialized.  For example, you may specialize in selling condominium unit, or townhouses, or million dollar homes.

 

5. Set your work schedule or minimum and maximum hours in a day.  A work schedule or a minimum working hours in a day gives you discipline hence increase productivity.  Having a maximum hours in a day can prevent you from exhausted, working too long may shorten your career life as well as your life.

 

6. Pay attention on the price trends, especially in your farm area.  Clients want first hand information from you, not waiting for you to check the computer.
